Food and Clothing

If food is a challenge, we can help.

We have discontinued our Saturday food distributions. However, check out these options if you are in need.

Prepared Foods:

In partnership with North Brooklyn Angels, we host their “mobile food pantry” on Mondays and Wednesdays at 12:30. Look for the big blue truck to get a delicious meal that you can take with you,

NYC is offering prepared breakfast & lunches to go at schools, parks, & pools. Grand Street Campus (corner of Grand and Bushwick) and Williamsburg High School for Art and Technology (223 Graham Ave) are participating, 9am – 1pm. Or you can click this link to find a location closer to you: https://www.opt-osfns.org/schoolfoodny/meals/default.aspx

Have something to give?

We accept gently-used clothing and non-perishable foods.

Call us at (718) 963-2100 (if no one answers, leave a message or choose option 1) You can also visit our office (to the right of the church door, in the gated area) to arrange the drop-off of your food and clothing donations. The office is open 1-4pm, Mon – Thur. A St.John’s representative will be available to assist you and prepare a receipt. Unfortunately we are not equipped to pick up donations.

Make healthy food choices. Consider donating foods high in fiber, low in fat and low in sugar.

Clothing should be gently used and can be of all types and sizes.

Please do not leave bags of clothing at the church door or the church rectory door. Items left at the door may not be picked up in time and are subject to weather damage. Remember to call ahead first!

It’s hard to say “no thank you” to a donation, however, due to limitations in storage space we do need to refuse some items such as furniture, mattresses, appliances, computer equipment, electronics, items containing hazardous material or environmentally-unfriendly waste products.
